Rangers fans clash with police in Slovenia

There were angry clashes between Rangers fans and Slovenian police ahead of the club's Europa League match against Maribor last night.

Local police claimed that officers took action to stop fights ahead of the game and alleged fans attacked their officers.

Footage posted online shows riot police wading into crowds in and around Grajski Trg square.

But fans have accused officers of heavy-handed policing and say they were sprayed with tear gas.

It comes two weeks after two men were stabbed ahead of Rangers clash with Osijek at Ibrox.
