Radio Clyde is saying a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to our Mission Christmas appeal this year helping children across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

We've raised a record amount of money which will put smiles on the faces of over 26,000 children.

"It will make a massive difference"

Cash For Kids charity chairman, Eddie Hawthorne, said: "We have raised almost ÂŁ900,000 which is unbelievable.

"Given the challenging year we have had, I am so proud we have pulled it out the bag to help those children.

"It will make a massive difference because hopefully children will now wake up with something to eat in a warm home this year - thank you to everyone who donated."

MSPs are also recognising the hard work of everyone involved.

"Keep going with all the great work you are doing"

Pam Gosal from the Conservatives represents West Scotland and raised a motion in the Scottish Parliament with cross-party support from the SNP and Labour.

She said: "I wanted to congratulate everyone at Radio Clyde on the successful Mission Christmas campaign.

"It is important to recognise all your achievements when so many families are going through a difficult time right now.

"It is fantastic to hear tens of thousands of children will now be supported with basic essentials.

"Keep going with all the great work you are doing I am delighted to hear you are making Christmas a little bit happier for them."
