Man arrested over racial abuse in Asda store in Glasgow

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an incident in Toryglen.

Police were made aware of the incident which involved a man making racial comments towards a woman within the Asda superstore in the south side of Glasgow.

The incident happened on Friday 12 April.

Police have now confirmed the man has been arrested and charged and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

A report will also be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
