Man taken to hospital after disturbance in Glasgow Park

Part of Pollokshaws Road in the city’s southside was closed at around 6.30pm this evening

A man is in hospital following an incident in Queen's Park in Glasgow this evening.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in the area at around 6 o'clock.

We don't yet know the condition of the man, who is being treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Clyde News: “Around 6pm on Monday, 3 April, 2023, officers received a report of a disturbance at Queen’s Park, Glasgow.

“A 29-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2734 of 3 March, 2023."

Pollokshaws Road remains closed to all traffic between Titwood Road and Queen Square and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
