Publicans and bar owners across Glasgow have seen a boost in the number of customers coming through the door thanks to the Euros.

Some venues have even built their own fan zones where people can watch the matches on the big screen with a pint in hand.

Bars in the south side of the city which are close to Hampden stadium where some of the matches have been played are telling Clyde 1 that the phone is still ringing off the hook.

Sharon Milliken from Clockwork Bar said: "A lot of people have read about our special fan zone on Facebook and we have had loads of calls about it.

"We are fully booked for the Sweeden vs Ukraine game at Hampden tonight from 4 o'clock onwards, but people are still asking if they can book a table."

Watching the finals on a big screen

The final game of the tournament takes place on Sunday July 11 and Sharon expects it to be a busy one.

She added: "There are only a few tables left for that day - it's absolutely crazy."

Looking forward to a break

Even though we are only halfway through the tournament, Sharon and her team are looking forward to a bit of a break once it all finishes next month.

"It us brought us all together, but I cannot wait for a rest because it is very hectic.

"A lot of work goes into ordering stock and making sure you have the right number of staff.

"We are all doing long shifts as well because some of us are working 12 or 13 hour shifts whenever a game is taking place at Hampden."
