Prince Charles officially opens Prince's Trust Centre in Glasgow
The Duke of Rothesay, his title in Scotland, toured the new building meeting young people who benefit from the training there
Prince Charles has officially opened The Prince's Trust's Wolfson youth employment and enterprise hub in Glasgow.
The Duke of Rothesay, as he is known in Scotland, flipped pancakes, met a puppeteer and learned about LED goggles at the centre on Carlton Court.
The Prince's Trust is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the centre set to become Scotland's biggest youth employment and enterprise hub.
It opened last May and since then it has supported over 4,500 young people.
18 year old Simon O'Hare from Cambuslang is a Young Ambassador for The Prince's Trust..
He told our Chief Reporter Linda Sinclair about how the Trust has helped him turn his life around and his hopes for the future:
Chief Executive of the Wolfson Foundation, Paul Ramsbottom, said: "Many young people in Glagow are faced with some of the toughest challenges imaginable. We admire the Prince's Trust's tireless commitment and dedication to suppporting these young people.
"In doing so, the Trust transforms lives and we are delighted to be supporting this new centre.
"The funding formed part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of our charity and was particularly appropriate as the Centre is very close to the area of Glasgow where our founder, Sir Isaac Wolfson, was born and spent his own youth."
