Police return to Yoker murder scene one week on

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after a man was found murdered in a flat in Glasgow.

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after a man was found murdered in a flat in Glasgow.

Steven Savage, 43, was pronounced dead at a property in Halley Place, Yoker, at around 5pm on Tuesday September 17.

Police investigating the murder returned to the scene to speak to passers-by a week on from his death and spoke to 13 people between 4pm and 6pm on September 24.

Officers are now assessing the information gathered from the operation and said they will follow up any relevant lines of inquiry.

Detective Inspector Gillian Faulds said: “Extensive inquiries have been carried out in the local area to date, including house-to-house inquiries.

“Officers have also studied a large amount of CCTV footage to gather any information that will assist this murder investigation.

“I would like to reappeal to anyone who was in the Halley Place area on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th September who has not yet spoken to police, or anyone with information on Steven's death to come forward.''
