Body of 27-year-old man discovered in Falkirk

The body of a 27-year-old man has been found in Falkirk.

Police Scotland say the discovery was made near Grahams Road in the Bankside area of the town at around 5am on Sunday.

A cordon was put in place near the Forth and Clyde Canal.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "officers are treating the death as unexplained while inquiries are ongoing."

"Anyone with information that can assist officers is asked to call 101."
