Police seize £200k worth of cocaine after pulling over car on M74
Two men were arrested after the bust near Lesmahagow
Police have seized cocaine with a street value of close to £200,000 in a traffic stop in Lanarkshire yesterday
They pulled over a car on the M74 near Lesmahagow just before 5pm and found the drugs
Two men, aged 35 and 39, were arrested. They are due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Boxing Day. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Elliott said: “This was a significant recovery. It underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
