Police seize £386,000 worth of drugs from Sighthill flat

Officers recovered the drugs, believed to be cannabis, when they searched a flat in Fountainwell Drive in the Sighthill area of Glasgow at around 12.25pm on Tuesday.

A 37 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery, police said.

Detective Inspector Steven Elliot of Greater Glasgow Division said: “This substantial recovery shows our commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply. This is a key priority for police and we will continue to actively target those who seek to supply drugs in our community.

“I would encourage anyone to report criminal activity in their area by contacting police through 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
