Police searching for two men following serious assault on train

British Transport Police are looking for two men they believe might be able to help with an ongoing investigation into a serious assault in May.

The incident happened on the 18:46 service from Glasgow Central to Largs on Saturday May 18, part way into the journey at around 7.30pm.

The first man is described as being between 18-20 years old, slim build, short light-coloured hair which is shaved at the sides, wearing a pink t-shirt, light coloured trousers, carrying a light-coloured satchel and wearing grey Nike trainers.

The second is also between 18-20 years old, of slim build and with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with a white Nike logo and dark stripes around the sleeves, with a chain over the t-shirt and dark trousers.

Officers believe they could have information which could assist their enquiries and is asking them or anyone who recognises them to contact British Transport Police on 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2400062889.
