Police searching for missing 62 year old Strathaven man

Police in Strathaven are searching for a missing 62 year old man who was last seen on Saturday afternoon.

Leonard McKague was seen on Strathaven Road around 2pm on December 28, but has not been in contact with his family since.

He is described as being 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with short, fair, thinning hair.

When he was last seen, he was wearing jeans and a navy blue jumper.

He has access to a red Jeep registration SA71 YCP, which police believe he is driving.

Inspector David Connor said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Leonard’s welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Leonard or has any has information regarding his whereabouts to contact us. I would also appeal directly to Leonard himself, if you see this appeal, please let us know you are safe.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3059 of 28 December, 2024.”
