Police release image of man after city centre attack

Police have released an image of someone they want to trace after a man was assaulted in a city street.

A 29-year-old man needed hospital treatment after suffering serious injuries in the attack at around 12.40am on Sunday May 7.

The serious assault happened outside 1132 Argyle Street in Glasgow's west end.

Police are keen to speak to the man shown in the image as they believe that he may be able to help with their investigation.

Detective Constable John Boyd said: "A violent assault like this within Glasgow West End cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.'
