A police probe’s been launched after a man’s body was found on a street in Paisley.
A police probe’s been launched after a man’s body was found on a street in Paisley.
The alarm was raised, following reports of a disturbance on Argyle Street, just after 3pm yesterday.
Emergency crews arrived and found the man’s body and another man who’d been left seriously injured.
Police are treating the death as suspicious and a post mortem is still to be carried out.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland told Clyde News: "Around 1535 hours on Saturday 22 April, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Argyle Street, Paisley. Upon attendance, a man was found with serious injuries and another as-yet-unidentified man was found dead. A post mortem will be carried out in due course, however, the death is being treated as suspicious.
"Enquiries are continuing. Detective Inspector Grant McLeod of the Major Investigation Teams is appealing for witnesses and information. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101. Alternatively please contact Crimestoppers where information can be passed in confidence."
