Police probe 'suspicious' death in Drumchapel

Police in Drumchapel are investigating after a body was found in a flat in Drumchapel on Thursday evening.

Officers were called to Jedworth Street and a 45 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as suspicious and a post mortem is due to take place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.55pm on Thursday, 22 April, officers were called to a property in Jedworth Road, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and a 45 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"An investigation is ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however meantime the death is being treated as suspicious.

"Anyone with information that may assist the ongoing inquiry should contact 101 quoting reference number 2750 of 22 April."
