Occupants in fear in Stonehouse as police launch probe

A family’s been left horrified after a fire attack in Lanarkshire that destroyed two cars and severely damage their home.
The incident happened around 11.05pm on Thursday at a property in the Carlisle Road area of Stonehouse.
A car was set on fire, it spread to another car and also to the house causing extensive damage to the vehicles and the property.
The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
Detective Constable Andrew Sinclair said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the occupants were left very upset and frightened by what happened.
“We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.
“In particular we are asking people to check their dash-cams to see if they have captured something that could assist with our investigation.”
