Police probe launched following gang attack in Glasgow city centre flat

Three men were left hospitalised in Glasgow city centre after a gang forced their way into a flat in Parnie Street yesterday and attacked them.

Three men were left hospitalised in Glasgow city centre after a gang forced their way into a flat in Parnie Street yesterday and attacked them.

Detectives were called to the scene shortly after 3pm.

A 36 year old man’s still being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medics describe his condition as stable.

The two other men, aged 35 and 40, where offered medical treatment and later released.

Detective Inspector David MacGregor of Glasgow City Centre CID said: “Officers are viewing CCTV and making door to door enquiries to gain information as to who is responsible for these violent assaults.

“We believe this was a targeted attack but we need the help of the public to identify the five men responsible, enquiries so far have established that they ran off towards King Street.

“Anyone who saw a group of five men acting suspiciously around Parnie Street about 1500 hrs or anyone who saw them leaving the flat shortly afterwards is asked to contact CID at Stewart Street, Glasgow via 101.
