Officers called to Finnieston area over man 'causing a disturbance'

Police have locked down a section of Glasgow’s west end as they deal with a major incident.
They were called to the Finnieston area in the early hours of this morning over reports of a man causing a disturbance.
A cordon has now been put in place between Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street as officers deal with the situation.
People are being advised to stay away from the area.
A statement from the force reads: “A number of roads in Glasgow city centre are currently closed following a report of a man causing a disturbance around 4.45am on Saturday, 7 June, 2025, near St Vincent Street.
“The roads closed are Berkeley Street at North Street, Granville Street at Sauchiehall Street, Kent Road from North Street to Elderslie Street, Cleveland Street and Cleveland Lane.
“Officers are in attendance and the incident is ongoing.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
