Police have concluded an investigation in to the cause of a fire at a block of flats in Glasgow that forced 200 residents out of their homes.

The building has now been handed back to Glasgow City Council.

The blaze started at Lancefield Quay at about 6:40 pm on Monday.

It's after residents were told at a meeting earlier this week they would not get back into the building until next week at least.

At the time of the investigation a Police Scotland spokesperson told Clyde News: "We are assisting the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who are leading the investigation into the fire.

"As yet, no criminality has been established."

The area surrounding the flats has been cordoned off and the road will be closed until further notice.

60 firefighters worked through the night to tackle the blaze - it's feared at least 30 flats are badly damaged.
