Police investigate suspicious death of baby girl in Glasgow

The 14 month old girl, understood to be Inayah Ahmed, was rushed to hospital from her family home in Drumchapel last month.

Police are treating the death of a young girl in Glasgow as suspicious.

The girl, 14-month-old Inayah Ahmed, died in hospital on April 20, three days after "reportedly taking unwell within her home''.

A police spokeswoman said: "On Sunday April 17, 2016 a 14-month-old girl was taken to the sick children's hospital after reportedly taking unwell within her home in Drumchapel, Glasgow.

She died within the hospital on Wednesday April 20.

Police are treating her death as suspicious

Inquiries are continuing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.''
