Detectives are investigating and appealing for information after a firearm was discharged at a house in Calton, Glasgow on Tuesday 23rd February.

Officers were called to reports of gun fire at around 9:15pm on Green Street in the east end of the city.

A window was smashed and no one was injured.

Detective Sergeant Lisa MacDonald of Shettleston Police Station said: “I believe that this was a targeted attack, carried out at night to intimidate the occupants of the house.

“This type of behaviour is completely reckless and will not be tolerated. Thankfully no one was injured during this incident, however there were two adults and two young children, aged two and six, in the house at the time.

"Additional police patrols will be present in the area to provide public reassurance as we work to trace those responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has information at all to please come forward and speak to officers as a matter of urgency.

"I would also ask anyone driving in the area of Green Street on Tuesday evening around the time of the shooting with dash-cam footage to come forward."
