Police hunt attacker after serious assault in Maryhill

A man’s in hospital with a serious head injury after an attack in Glasgow on Friday night.

The 23-year-old was assaulted on Garrioch Road in Maryhill at 8.15. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Sergeant Gillian Alexander, of Maryhill CID, said: “We are trying to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am appealing to anyone in the area, or nearby streets, who may have seen something to come forward.

“There are a number of takeaways in the area and it would have been busy at that time of night. Also, if anyone was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage that may help with our enquiries, then please get in touch.
