Police helicopter responds to road collision after firearm reports

One man has been injured in a collision between two cars outside the Soccerworld sports complex in the Ruchazie area of Glasgow.

One man has been injured in a collision between two cars outside the Soccerworld sports complex in the Ruchazie area of Glasgow.

A police helicopter attended the incident following reports of a man carrying a firearm.

However, police say it's not believed a firearm was involved.

It's believed hundreds of people were told to stay inside Soccerworld during the incident

In a statement Police Scotland say: ''One man sustained minor injuries as a result of the road traffic collision, he has been taken to hospital for observations. Officers are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and remain in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Shettleston via 101"
