Reports of a man with a firearm outside a Glasgow pub resulted in a police chase on Friday night.

Police were called around 21:00 after they received a report of a man within a blue Vauxhall Astra with what appeared to be a firearm.

The vehicle was spotted outside the Union Bar on Paisley Road West and soon made off from the scene.

Officers stopped a blue Astra, which had been driving erratically on Skipness Drive at around 21:50.

The two suspects exited the car and were then chased on foot by officers.

Police Scotland said a number or roads in the surrounding area and the Clyde Tunnel were closed in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace the individuals involved and police are following a positive line enquiry," a spokeswoman added
