Roads around part of Glasgow's east end had to be shut off yesterday after a police van collided with a car.

It happened near Dalmarnock train station around 5pm.

Two male officers and a man - who was the driver of the car - were taken to hospital.

Officers say enquiries are ongoing.

Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a crash involving a marked police vehicle and a car on Dalmarnock Road, around 5pm on Saturday, 1 June.

"Two male officers and the male driver of the car were taken to hospital for treatment.

"The road was closed until 10.30pm and enquiries are ongoing."
