Police arrest man in connection with Carluke death

A murder inquiry was launched after Paul Halley was found dead in his flat in Carluke.

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Paul Halley in South Lanarkshire.

The 43-year-old was found dead at his flat in Hozier Street in Carluke on Sunday the 29th of July.

The arrest comes after a murder inquiry was launched, with forensic officers carrying out enquiries at the location and officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries, including gathering CCTV footage.

A police spokesman said on Friday: ''Police Scotland can confirm a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 43-year-old Paul Halley in Carluke.''

The man is expected to appear before Lanark Sheriff Court on Monday.
