Police apprehend murderer who failed to return to prison
A convicted murderer who failed to return to jail following leave is back in custody.
John McDermott Wilson, a prisoner at HMP Gateside in Greenock, Inverclyde, went missing on Friday.
The 50-year-old was apprehended by police in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on Monday afternoon.
Wilson is serving a life sentence for murder following his conviction in 1991.
