Detectives are releasing images of two men they would like to speak following a serious assault which occurred in the Pollokshields area in May 2016.

On Saturday 21 May 2016, at around 2130 hours, a 48 year old man was within the Allison Arms Public House on Pollokshaws Road, when he became involved in an altercation which led to him sustaining a facial injury requiring hospital treatment.

Police officers are keen to speak to the men shown in the image as they believe that they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first man is described as white, in his 20’s, of large build with short dark hair and at the time of the incident, he was wearing a red T shirt.

The second man is described as white, in his 50’s, with dark hair and at the time of the incident he was wearing a blue polo shirt under a dark jacket.

Detective Constable Paul MacDonald, who is leading the investigation, said today:

"This incident has left a man seriously injured. Those drinking within the pub were also shocked at the level of violence displayed that evening. It is crucial we trace those responsible.

"We are appealing for anyone with information or for anyone who may recognise the men in the image to contact officers at Cathcart Police Office on 101. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given in complete confidence.”
