Police searching for a man with dementia who has been missing for almost two days are asking motorists to review dash-cam footage in case they have captured his image.
Officers are "very concerned" for the safety of Charles O'Neill, 69, who was last seen at 4.20pm on Tuesday on the A82 walking near the Arnold Clark showroom just after the Kilbowie roundabout in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.
They hope motorists with a dash camera may have captured an image of the missing man, who is from the Knightswood area of Glasgow and is also known as Stewart.
Officers are carrying out searches in the Drumchapel and Clydebank areas. Inquiries are also being carried out in Dumbarton, which Mr O'Neill is known to frequent.
Inspector Stevie McGarry, of Drumchapel police office, said: "We are very concerned for Mr O'Neill's safety and wellbeing.
"He is very vulnerable and his family are extremely distressed at his disappearance, and just want him home safe and well.
"Unfortunately, any searches to date have proved unsuccessful, however they are continuing today and officers are currently reviewing a large amount of CCTV footage that has been gathered.
"The last confirmed sighting of Charles was westbound on the A82 at Clydebank on Tuesday afternoon.
"This is a very busy road and I would ask any motorists with a dash camera fitted to review it in case it may have captured an image of Mr O'Neill."
Mr O'Neill is described as 5ft 6ins, slim and with a tanned complexion.
When last seen, he was wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, a checked shirt and trainers. The top of his left index finger is missing.
