Detectives in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a 41-year-old man was stabbed in the Milton area of Glasgow.
It's understood he was walking along Castlebay Street, at around 7.30pm last night, when he was attacked.
He's still being treated at Glasgow's Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for serious injuries. At this stage it is reported that the persons responsible for this attack made off from the scene in three motor cars, not further described, other than they were seen to be driven erratically when leaving the scene.
There is no indication of the number of people involved nor any descriptions of them. Detective Constable Geraldine Josey at Maryhill Police Station said: "It may well be that this man was targeted for some reason however it does seem to have been a completely unprovoked attack. I am keen to hear from anyone who may have been in Castlebay Street around this time and who can help us trace those involved in this attack.
"Anyone with any information which may help is urged to contact me at Maryhill Police Station through the 101 number, or if they wish to remain anonymous then through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
