Police appeal for man to get in touch after city centre assault

Police are appealing after a serious assault near to West Regent Lane and Renfield Street in Glasgow

Police Scotland's released images of a man that officers believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries following a serious assault near to West Regent Lane and Renfield Street, Glasgow.

The incident occurred at about 3.00am on Saturday 13th February 2016 whereby a 21 year-old man was assaulted and sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Police officers are keen to speak to the man shown in the images as they believe that he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as being White European in appearance and his mid to late 20s.

Detective Constable Tony Brady, Greater Glasgow CID who is dealing with this enquiry said:

"This type of activity within Glasgow city centre cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.
