Police appeal after Hamilton crash leaves pensioner in hospital

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Hamilton.

The crash happened around 1.40pm on Wednesday, 28 June, on Hillhouse Road and involved a Vauxhall Mokka.

The driver of the car, an 82-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “We are carrying out further enquiries to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

“If you have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation or saw what happened, please get in touch via 101, quoting incident number 1985 of Wednesday, 28 June, 2023.”
