Police appeal after 58-year-old man dies in Airdrie crash
The man was driving a car which collided with a bus and two other cars on Stirling Street on Friday afternoon
Police are appealing for information following a fatal four-vehicle crash in Airdrie town centre.
A 58-year-old man was driving a car which collided with a bus and two other cars on Stirling Street at around 3.25pm on Friday.
He was taken to hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police Scotland said the man’s family has been made aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Nobody else was injured and the road was later reopened.
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward with information.
Sergeant Nick Twigg, from Police Scotland's road policing unit, said: "We are appealing for any potential witnesses who are still to speak to officers to please get in touch.
"We would also urge anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage to pass this on to us by call 101 and quoting incident number 2154 of Friday 11 October 2024."
