Police appeal after East End hit and run

Road Policing Officers are appealing for witnesses after a road crash in the east end of Glasgow on Saturday 2nd April 2016 where a man was struck by a car.

Road Policing Officers are appealing for witnesses after a road crash in the east end of Glasgow on Saturday 2nd April 2016 where a man was struck by a car.

Around 10.40pm hours a 72 year-old man was struck by a car in London Road at its junction with Anson Street. The car didn’t stop and drove off west along London Road.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for leg injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

Sergeant Nicola Taylor from the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Helen Street said:

“The police investigation is continuing to trace the car involved and its driver and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to contact our office through the non-emergency number 101.”
