Police appeal after wilful fire raising in Port Glasgow

Officers are appealing for information after a boat was deliberately set on fire in Port Glasgow.
The incident happened around 8.30pm on Wednesday, 21 February, at a boat yard in the Queen Street area of the town.
The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
A second boat and a fence were also damaged in the fire.
Detective Constable Laura Sokolov said: “Fortunately no one was injured but considerable damage was caused and the fire is being treated as wilful.
“Enquiries so far have established that a person wearing dark clothing was seen at the time and we are keen to speak to them and anyone else with information that could help with our investigation.
“We would also like to speak to anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist us.”
