Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash involving a man and a bin lorry in Cumbernauld.

The incident happened around 12.10pm on Friday, 20 May, 2022 in the Main Road area of Condorrat.

The 53-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Enquiries ongoing

The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Road Policing Officers from Motherwell are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage of the area at the time to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1432 of Friday, 20 May, 2022.
