Police appeal after attempted knife-point robbery in Clarkston
Police are hunting a man who tried to rob a shop in Clarkston at knife-point.
Police are hunting a man who tried to rob a shop in Clarkston at knifepoint.
Police Scotland released the following statement:
Around 1340 hours on Saturday 7 January 2017, police were called to a report of a attempted robbery at a post office within the Premier Store in Busby Road, Clarkston.
A man brandishing a knife threatened the two male members of staff within but he fled empty handed along Busby Road towards Eastwood Mains Rd, Clarkston.
Although no staff were seriously injured, one of the men sustained a slight injury but did not require medical treatment.
Officers are checking CCTV at the moment and enquiries are continuing.
The suspect is described as a white Scottish man, over 6ft in height and was wearing a woollen hat and carrying a black bag.
