Police appeal after man hospitalised with head injury
The Helensburgh man sought medical help just after midnight on Sunday
A man is recovering in hospital after receiving a head injury in Helensburgh last night.
The 41 year old presented himself to medical staff on Granville Road at 12.30am before he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Police believe he was involved in an altercation elsewhere in the town before seeking medical assistance, but the location of this is yet to be found.
Detective Constable Iain Allison said: “We are working to establish where this man came to be injured, including carrying out door to door and CCTV enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who believes they may have information or who saw or heard a disturbance sometime on the evening of Saturday, 25 November.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0109 of 26 November, 2023, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
