Police appeal after deliberate fire in Clydebank

A car was set on fire in a residential area in the early hours of Saturday

Police are investigating after a car was set on fire in Clydebank in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Audi A3 was set alight at Queen Mary Crescent at around 2.10am.

There were no reports of injuries after emergency services extinguished the blaze.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and are treating the incident as wilful.

Detective Constable Nic Neeson said: "The fire was set alight while the vehicle was parked in a residential area, and I would urge anyone with information about what happened to speak to officers.

"If you were in the Queen Mary Crescent area at the time and saw anything suspicious or have CCTV or dashcam footage which may have captured something of significance then please contact us."
