Kai the Shar-pei cross made it onto ABC's Good Morning America and has nearly 5,000 shares on their Facebook.
The plight of a dog abandoned at Ayr train station has gone global. Yesterday we told you about Kai the Shar-pei crossbreed who was found on Friday 2nd January with a suitcase of his belongings. His story has touched thousands of you on our Facebook and twitter and has even made the headlines on ABC's Good Morning America.
The Scottish SPCA is keen to trace the owner of Kai, who was discovered tied to a railing, accompanied by a case containing items including a pillow, toy, food and bowl.
The dog was sold on the Gumtree website in 2013 and the charity is appealing for information to help trace whoever bought him.
The unlucky pooch was micro-chipped so officers were able to trace his previous owner, Jennifer Dalling, who gave him up because of her son's walking problems.
The SSPCA are still looking for the person who dumped him there though and anyone with any information is being urged to contact them on: 03000 999 999
