Police appeal after petrol station robbed in Milton area of Glasgow
Two men made off with cash and cigarettes in the early hours of Monday morning
Police in Glasgow are on the hunt for two men who robbed a petrol station in the Milton area.
A three-figure sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes was taken after two men threatened staff at the Esso Londis on Balmore Road at around 0.30am on Monday.
The men were seen heading in the direction of Ashgill Road. The first is described as white, around 30-years-old, of average height and of stocky build. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with a blue logo, dark grey Nike jogging bottoms, black trainers, a black skip cap, black glove and a black face mask.
The second man is described as white, also around 30-years-old and of average height, and of slim build. He was wearing a black rain jacket, black tracksuit bottoms with a red and white vertical stripe on the leg and a blue and white face mask.
Detective Constable Fiona MacKenzie said: “Fortunately no one was injured but this was a terrifying experience that left a member of staff fearing for her safety.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area both before and after the incident to get in touch. Similarly, if you have dash-cam footage that may help with our investigation then please contact us.
“Anyone who can help is asked to get in touch via 101, quoting incident number 0085 of Monday, 27 September, 2021 or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
