“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Cairnhill Circus around the time of the incident yesterday afternoon and may have seen these three men, or the car they were in to come forward.
“People who target elderly members of the public in their own homes are despicable and it is totally unacceptable to leave elderly people feeling vulnerable in their home.
“It may be that there are others in the area who have been approached by these men, who haven’t yet come forward to police. If you have had someone at your door recently that you were unsure of, or if an elderly relative has informed you of an incident, please contact Police Scotland.
“I would urge anyone who recognised this description of who can assist police in identifying him to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
