83-year-old woman dies on Maryhill street

Police say an 83-year-old woman has died after an incident in Maryhill.

Stirrat Street was locked down on Friday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the sudden death of an 83-year-old woman outside an address in Stirrat Street, Glasgow around 3.25pm on Friday, 3 December.

"Following a post mortem examination, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
