Pedestrian seriously injured in collision with car

A man has been seriously injured in a collision with a car.

The 69-year-old was hit by a Suzuki Swift as he crossed Pollokshaws Road, near to Haggs Road, in Glasgow at around 5.35pm on Sunday.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for a serious head injury, police said.

Hospital staff describe his condition as serious.

The 48-year-old female driver was uninjured.
