Pedestrian killed by lorry in Dennistoun named

The collision happened yesterday morning in Dennistoun's Duke Street.

A man who died after being struck by a lorry in Glasgow has been identified as Cameron Eaglesham, 44 from the city.

The incident happened on Duke Street, near to the junction with Bellfield Street around 10.40am on Thursday, 1 June.

Mr Eaglesham was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The 45-year-old female driver of the Mercedes lorry was uninjured.

Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1390 of 1 June.
