A man has died after a road accident on the southside of Glasgow.
A man has died after a road accident on the southside of Glasgow.
The 42-year-old was crossing Rutherglen Road near its junction with Glasgow Road when he was hit by a Mercedes Vito van driven by a 21-year-old man.
Police Scotland said the accident happened at 6.05pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the injured pedestrian, who has not yet been named, was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He died a short time later.
A full report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant John Tait has appealed for any witnesses to the accident or anyone with information to contact officers.
