The Pavilion Theatre to stay closed for at least 2 months

Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre looks set to be closed for at least 2 months after the Sauchiehall Street fire.

The owners say they'll have to wait that long before they're even allowed back into the building to check out the smoke and soot damage from the devasting blaze at Victoria's on Thursday.

The theatre was lucky to survive - with fire fighters making a massive effort to protect it from the inferno raging just across a narrow lane.

Bosses put an update on social media last night saying their requests to see inside have been denied - and they're going to talk to the council and the Scottish Government to see if there's any way round it.

As for whether the show can go on - they may look at moving to a temporary venue or rescheduling.
