Paramedic 'assaulted' while treating a man in Glasgow Square

A man has been arrested in Glasgow after allegedly assaulting a paramedic who was trying to treat him.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a paramedic who was trying to treat him.

Police said the man became unwell outside the Millennium Hotel in George Square, Glasgow, at around 1.30am on Friday.

An ambulance was called and the man is alleged to have then assaulted a paramedic who was trying to help him.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the 34-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment before being released from hospital and taken into police custody.
