Paisley police searching for suspect after Brodie Park rape
The incident happened early on Sunday morning
Police in Paisley are appealing for information after a woman was raped in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It happened around 4.30am on Sunday 16 November near Brodie Park.
The woman did not require hospital treatment, but was left “extremely frightened”.
The suspect is described as being white, in his early 20s, and with a local accent.
He was wearing dark grey clothing at the time.
Police appeal
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie, Inverclyde CID, said: "This was a horrendous ordeal for the woman, and we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
"Extensive enquiries are ongoing and there will be an increased police presence in the area and visible patrols in the park this week.
“I would urge anyone with information or concerns to please approach these officers.
“I would also ask anyone with dash cam footage or private CCTV from around the area to please check if you have captured anything that could be useful to our investigation."
