Devastated family post tribute to dad who died after being knocked down

A 'devoted' father from Coatbridge is being named as a pedestrian who died days after being hit by a car in Paisley.

50-year-old Stephen Craig was knocked down on Hawkhead Road at 8.10am on Wednesday, 18th September.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died on Sunday 22nd September.

Another man, aged 40, also received serious injuries in the incident.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Devastated family

Stephen's family have released a tribute saying: “Stephen was a devoted husband and father. His loss has been devastating for all who knew him.”

Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Our thoughts remain with Stephen’s family at this very difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances of the crash and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, and has yet to speak to officers, to please get in touch.”
